Introduction
As we celebrated this festive Christmas season, I watched the movie “Mully” on Amazon Prime as was suggested in The Master Key Experience. As I watched, I was reminded that it only takes four tiny habits to form a new reality for my life. Those four habits are having a Definite Major Purpose (DMP), a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA), a Plan of Action (POA), and a Mastermind Alliance (MMA).
Mully, the Movie
Mully is a documentary about the life of Charles Mulli from Kenya. You can see the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3HGRf4noSU. I had never heard his story until I watched this movie. It was captivating!
Charles was the oldest son in his family. They were very poor because his father was an alcoholic who drank and didn’t work. One night, at age six, he and his brothers watched in horror as his father beat his mother as she cried out for help from the people of the village. The next day Charles woke to find that his family had moved off to find land and had abandoned him never to return.
Charles went to see his uncle to see what he should do, but his uncle ran him off. At this point I was heartbroken that a young boy was left totally alone to survive on his own. Thank God, the story does not end there.
Charles was hungry and he knew in the city of Nairobi he could get a new life; so, with no money and no family for support, he walked for three days to get to the city. That was the first time we see that Charles Mulli had a Definite Major Purpose (DMP) in life and it was fueled by a burning desire. Charles knew that there were people in Nairobi who had the power to give him money and he had a burning desire to get money. That burning desire was a hunger in his belly and a will to survive.
In Mully, I never saw Charles brake down and complain about how bad things were; never saw him complain about how he was just a kid who couldn’t do it by himself. I saw a kid who knew that there were people in the city who could help him, and he just had to get there. He had a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA). Unfortunately, when he got to the city, the people turned him away and would not give him any money. He became a beggar, a thief, a street boy, but he also formed a Plan of Action (POA) that would help him to reach the right people, because he knew they were there.
Charles began to knock on every door and sure enough one day an Indian woman gave him a job. He cut grass, scrubbed floors, and washed dishes. Any food that was left on the plates he was allowed to eat. After doing this for six months the Indian woman introduced him to her husband who was the CEO of a very large farming company. He formed a Mastermind Alliance (MMA) with her husband and was promoted to manager over 800 workers. He was able to buy a new shirt and save some money. He also met his wife there.
This was the first time in Mully that we see that Charles Mulli used these four habits to change his reality. He saw a need for taxis and formed a business called Mullyways Agency Limited. With one taxi, he again had a POA for making money. He drove with little sleep, then he started selling tires, formed a welding company, sold car parts, opened an insurance company and opened a real estate company. By the mid 1980s he was millionaire, had several busses and had people driving for him.
At that point, Charles formed a MMA with the owners of Total Oil Products. They were looking for people to sell and distribute their products. He began to realize what the value of having money meant and he had a monopoly as the supplier of all oil and gas in western Kenya. He saw the impossible becoming possible.
I don’t want to give away any more of Mully other than to say that it totally held my attention. We saw the Law of Forgiveness and the Law of Giving come into play. Charles went on to put these four tiny habits into play again and he changed not only the reality of his life, but the reality of many children in the country of Kenya.
Conclusion
Each of us reaches a point in our life where we either give up or we reach deep and use the four small habits and totally change our life. The movie Mully is a great example of this. I loved it and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a great true story about changing your and other’s lives.
